Our Mission

Saipan Institute is providing the first Bitcoin Journeyman program in the world.

In the span of two years Saipan Institute will allow capable and motivated individuals to go from zero to developing their own Bitcoin node.

Our Plan

For two years, students will eat, breathe and sleep Bitcoin.
Programming

We will teach students the ins and outs of the Rust programming language, to build both performant and reliable software.

Cryptography

Cryptography is the backbone of Bitcoin and much of the internet. We will make working with cryptography second nature for our students.

Bitcoin

Bitcoin combines programming, cryptography, networking and economics. Students will be able to contribute to Bitcoin node software, write their own smart contracts, and build their own apps on top of the Bitcoin network.

Saipan needs a technology program

For far too long Saipan’s greatest export has been its youth. Our goal is to change that.
No longer will students have to choose between leaving home and fulfilling their potential.

Saipan Institute will:

Allow students to develop their capabilities and careers without leaving the island

Ensure alumni have high-paying jobs

Help foster a local ecosystem of entrepreneurs

Crypto Needs a Home

From Plato’s Academy in Athens to Stanford in Silicon Valley, every great ecosystem was built around a center of learning.
